I thought KU wanted him pretty bad.  Was that TRob insurance, or did they just outright lose him to Cankles?

no one wanted simpson badly.  he sucks, he was just one of the few remaining options.  ku got anderson instead/first.  anderson's no prize either.

i don't see why you you'd bring in a jr pg unless you hate soph and fr pgs.
Freshman and Sophomore PGs are awesome!

A freshman and a sophomore lead OU to their worst seasons in 20+ years, so yeah stick with them as OU passes you guys with the Grooms!!!!!

i think it's pretty obvious kruger didn't like the pgs he found himself with.  kstate isn't in the same situ.  there should have been a "your" in my original sentence.

Nothing too new, but ESPN senior analyst was on 810. Said Gipson will be good around the block as a finisher/rebounder. Diaz is way ahead of Henriquez (although he said Rodriguez) at the same point in their high school career, but needs to add muscle. Rodriguez plays with a big chip on his shoulder like he has something to prove. Got a good shot at getting Jones (or whoever the JC point guard from that one KS juco is) who is a legit high major starting PG.

? Webster-Chan still committed to Louisville
Kevin Ware update
Posted on April 13, 2011 by Jody Demling

Spoke with the father of Kevin Ware, one of the few uncommitted top 100 prospects nationally, on Wednesday morning about the recruitment process.

Ware’s father, Wesley Junior, said the former Tennessee commitment will not take any visits until later in the month. He was scheduled to visit Central Florida this weekend but those plans have changed because of logistics.

"No visits to any schools right now," Junior said. "There are still two or three schools that want to get in and talk and he needs to have time to think about the schools and then make a final list of the schools that he will visit."

Louisville, Central Florida, Georgia, UCLA, Georgetown and South Carolina are the schools that Junior mentioned. Ware has four official visits left.

Ware is scheduled to play in the Derby Festival Classic on April 22 at the KFC Yum! Center and will arrive in Louisville on April 20 in preparation of the game.

Here's the news everybody has been waiting on, S. Fla. got a recent commit from JC PG Blake Nash(2nd Team AA!), which means that's 1 less suitor for Jeremy Jones. Which school will SURVIVE this titan struggle for Jones?  :ohno:

Billy Gillispie and Texas Tech Have 7 Commitments for 2011-2012 Season

The Texas Tech Red Raiders were not a good basketball team last season under Pat Knight. Because of their poor record Knight was shown the door and Billy Gillispie was hired.

Even with Gillispie in charge Texas Tech may still not be good next year but at least things will look different when you look out on the court.

In recent weeks Gillispie received commitments from Juco teammates Jaron Nash and Kader Tapsoba out of Tyler J.C.  Nash is listed at 6'7" 175 pounds while Tapsoba is listed at 6"10".

With these two players now on board the Red Raiders have a total of seven players committed for the 2011-2012 season.

According to Rivals the five players who have signed their letter of intents consist of four 3 star recruits: SG Toddrick Gotcher, SF Terran Petteway, PF Jordan Tolbert and PG Kevin Wagner along with 2 star recruit PF Hershey Robinson.

This is a continuing situation to watch as usually when a new coach comes on board at any university there is house cleaning of sorts that takes place within the program.

Going to be in Louisville next weekend. See that the Derby Festival Basketball Classic is going on.  Is it worth going?

I'd go, of course I'm pretty biased, I'll go to any game where it looks like there'll be a semi-competent level of ball played.  :dunno: Rosters do have a pretty solid collection of talent.

I guess this goes here, a couple Olu Ashaolu updates. 1st is from La Tech Rivals site, says he's down to 3(San Diego St, Oregon, Iowa St) but would listen "if a school like Duke" came calling. Damn Justin Knox wannabe.

http://louisianatech.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1211557

Then there's this update from the Iowa St Scout site(free I think). Sounds more open to other schools, but no mention of the KSU Cats.
