If I had a time machine, I'd only really be interested in going back into the distant past and doing things that really change the course of humanity, and then I'd like to sit back and watch how the alternate history unfolds. Unfortunately, this would almost certainly lead to my never being born, only if I'm never born, I can't change the past anymore, so what the hell happens then????

Don't worry I have nothing to complain about these days.  My life is great and only getting better.  You just never know what this crazy world has in store for you.  Ya know?
