ready for basketball!!!!
« on: October 02, 2010, 11:28:46 AM »
Hey guys new here but been following for a long time. I rack my brain on the starting lineup/rotation this year and wanted your thoughts.
My thoughts- we know pullen, mcgruder, samuals, and kelly will start but which way will they shift? Will judge, asprilla, or henriquez step up to start at the 5 or will it be russell, irving, myles, or spradling step up at the guard spot?
I believe franks lineup will be
Irving
Pullen
Mcgruder
Samuals
Kelly

My fav
Pullen
Russell
Mcgruder
Kelly
Asprilla
Thoughts?

Some of the High bbiq types around here are speculating Sprads to start at pg by conference time.  I'd add that I hope we are starting both Fred and CC by then as well

I hadn't heard about spradling starting but would be sweet if the case. I thought he was a little under rated but if he can defend, make good passes and hit the open 3 then I would be stoked. Kinda surprised that he is better than russell though...

Sys, what do you say to those claiming that Will starting would be a real bad sign for us? I'll hang up and listen on the air

don't know who has said that.  imo, it would be great.  best of possible outcomes.

There is an insinuation here that he would be beating out someone really good.  Anyone who thinks that is the case is nuts.  Guys who are that good don't fly under the radar.

Spradling wasn't under the radar.

Spradling doesn't have to be really good, but if he is better than irving, russell, or myles I believe ksu is a contender... :doom:

If he is good enough to be stable, and not a liability, I am happy for this year.

think of it this way. does sprads show up at ku or duke and start? because that's what is being suggested with this good enough for top 5 nonsense.

for those of you new to basketball, prepare yourselves to discover that only having one good guard is the equivalent of only having a good quarterback or a good running back, but not both. it will only take you so far.

I was in walmart earlier reading the Sporting News College Basketball preview magazine.. With Marcus Morris and Jacob Pullen on the cover. They said we were by far the "toughest" team out there And they would pick us for, i think it was a fight? brawl? or something along the lines of that.. And listed Nino Williams as a guy who will contribute right away. I wouldve bought it...but im broke!!!!!!!
