If you are a Republikkkan, obviously you are a deranged idiot and no friend of mine.

You are so clever, with your play on the kkk.  How's the socialist statism of the inner cities worked out for the past 50+ years?  How is the control of Education by socialists worked out for the performance of our schools and specifically the inner cities?  How has the socialist Teachers Union worked for the advancement of our childrens education and specifically the inner cities?  How has the socialists idea of no freedom of school choice for the inner cities worked out?

The failure of the educational system lays completely on the feet of socialism and lack of free choice.

Just the socialists creating and keeping a new plantation so they can have a reliant base of votes every year.

But you must know that socialism has always been very good to the minority population.  Like the Jews in Germany under the National Socialist Party.  The Jews and Muslims in the Soviet Union.  The blacks in Cuba.  And yet the march of socialists like yourself continues.

Your pathetic excuse for a brain, which is detailed in your heading, must spin when confronted with logic.  I don't even feel sorry for you to walk through this world hoping Government will solve all your problems with someone elses hard work and money.  What gratification in your own accomplishments in life can you attain by sucking the tit of those who make this country work?

Of course you are a socialist/liberal, which means you think that the minority population can't do anything for themselves and must be at the direct control of the government at all times.  Just a different type of slavery that the Democrats are in favor of this time.
Wait a minute guys... I don't play golf... for money... against people.

By the way, just because people in the inner cities vote democrat doesn't mean that they are the only people that get socialist government benefits. Just look at Ag Subsidies.

I agree. They were originally used to keep poor farmers afloat during the depression, but now a large chunk go to giant corporate farms in direct payouts. Totally unnecessary.

I still want to hammer home the fact that the failing education system is what has primarily failed the inner city population.  The Welfare State from LBJ's "Great Society" has had a negative impact on the inner cities, also combined with the move of the manufacturing/industrial industries to other areas and overseas.  However, a society must be able to move into other sectors of production and economic means and the educational system has failed in this area miserably.  The education of the inner cities has been controlled by Teachers Unions, Primarily Democratic School Boards, and a bloated Government Bureaucracy.

I could guarantee that a charter school spending the exact same amount of money per student as a public school would get more from the students in the vast majority of instances.  Also, I don't believe that the money spent per student in public schools can provide as much in a charter school due to the fact that the Bureacracy eats the money before it even reaches the student.

Change and progress for inner cities will take time, but the entrenched socialist statists will not allow that to happen with the addition charter schools.  Why?  What is wrong with trying?  They tried in DC and it worked extremely well until the socialists decided to shut it down.  Why?  Entrenched unions and wanting a segment of the population to remain where they are.  Who are the rascists?  I believe that the socialists want wretched dispair in order to remain in power.  They need limited creation of wealth in that population.  It's sad and disgusting that a fracking union runs our education and what could be a rebirth of a large portion of the US Society and the neighborhoods and communities in the inner cities.

The majority of entitlements are social security and medicare. These are paid for by all working Americans through the FICA tax. The vast majority of Americans who receive these benefits have spent a lifetime paying into them, so it's not exactly "money for nothing."

That's not the point.  You can put your head in the sand all you want, but once a ponzi scheme has fewer individuals paying into it than are taking out of it and/or more money going out thatn coming in, the scheme ends up flat on it's ass.  Wow some of you liberals are clueless about how socialist programs work.  If you run these programs in the private sector you get thrown in jail because they don't work and end up broke in the end.

And I will never expect Social Security in 30 years.  If you do you may be running into a dead end.  I count on the government for nothing and I count on myself and my wife for everything.  That's the conservative way.

I will also have enough saved to not have to rely on social security and medicare. That doesn't mean that I won't use it when I'm retired. It also doesn't mean that I will say it's fair to make many elderly people lose their homes and be denied healthcare simply because I don't want to pay for a program that takes care of them, even though they paid for those same programs for the generation before them.

I don't believe the problem rests with the school system so much as it does the kids in the system and their parents. I will agree that inner city education is bad, but I don't believe that charter schools will get better results. These kids just don't care about education, mainly because their parents are uneducated.

Also, if we replace all of our public schools with charter schools, where will all of the special needs kids go to school? What about the trouble makers that typically get kicked out of charter schools? Using public money to send all kids to charter schools will effectively turn the charter schools into public schools, only with lower-payed teachers. Will it not?

I don't disagree with you at all.  Still doesn't change the fact that these programs will not work in there current form without a huge influx of cash from the private sector.

I'm not saying public schools should go away and be replaced either as your points are valid.  However, competition and school choice to make sure that the students that want to acheive have the environment to do so is what I'm heading towards.  Educating two or three generations of these students is what will make the difference in the inner cities.  There has to be a gradual retention of educated individuals in the inner cities.  There is no overnight fix for the inner city problem of education, crime and the core family.  This will take multiple generations of change towards personal and family accountability to acheive.

Republicans are nothing more than the anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-Muslim, anti-anything that wasn't acceptable in the 1950's party.  They suck.  Hard.  The sad thing is that they really don't offer any solutions to America's problems, either.  All they do is cry about cutting taxes, and then blame the Democrats when the economy goes to sh*t.  Wash, rinse, and repeat.
