The University of Kansas keeps two sets of crime stats.

“It is confusing. I mean, I don't understand how they get the different numbers,” said KU Senior Rebecca Blaney.

On KU's crime statistics web page when you click on “full listing of all offenses,” it shows only 14 forcible sexual assaults over a three year period.

But a federal report available at another KU link identifies more .

“It makes me uncomfortable as a student,” said KU Graduate Student Mariah Tooley about the reported assaults. “I don't want to be here late at night or early in the morning, but I have to be for studying purposes.”

In the 2008 Clery Act Security Report, KU reports 16 forcible sex offenses over the most recent three-year-reporting-period.

You know what they say, you haven't visited Lawrence, KS until you've been raped a few times in the ass.
