This was Obama's last address to the UN.  His true heart was global integration; no borders.  Not surprisingly given he did not grow up in America.  Trump and the world is fighting back against those who want one world government.  Uk, Hungry, EU.nations are fighting back.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/whats-behind-the-revolt-against-global-integration/2016/04/10/b4c09cb6-fdbb-11e5-80e4-c381214de1a3_story.html?utm_term=.d883f1382c6f

Lawrence Summers is a past president of Harvard and Secretary of the Treasury.  He said, "One substantial part of what is behind the resistance is a lack of knowledge. Everyone who loses a job because a factory moves abroad knows it; many who lose their jobs for local reasons blame globalization. But no one thanks international trade for the fact that their paycheck buys twice as much in clothes, toys and other goods as it otherwise would. Those who succeed as exporters tend to credit their own prowess, not international agreements. So there is certainly a case for our leaders and business communities to educate people about the benefits of global integration. But at this late date, with the trends moving the wrong way, it is hard to be optimistic about such efforts."

So what if things cost less if you have a low paying job or no job.  Global Integration calls for rich nations to sacrifice for poor ones.

This is a quote from an article about what Putin thinks of global integration.  It explains why he had such distain for Obama.
"At the October meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club – a group of Russian and foreign international affairs specialists – the attendees assessed the processes of globalization under the rubric “global revolt and the global order.” Russians described Western-led neoliberal globalization as universally destructive economically, culturally, and politically and responsible for sparking a worldwide revolt."

From the Atlantic:
"Each president’s speech drew on a different part of the United Nations tradition. Trump stands closer to Franklin Roosevelt, who believed that Woodrow Wilson, in designing a League of Nations that contained no great-power veto, had gone too far toward diluting America’s sovereignty. As Robert Divine details in his book, Second Chance, FDR “envisioned the United Nations becoming an organic society of free states, focused around common interest rather than binding commitment or another overly-ambitious attempt at global governance.”

The Fed’s now explicit aim to help low-income families is another complication as it elevates the role of the bank in social policy and could be seen as a sort of reinterpretation of its mandate.

Their discussion of trends in dependency, dementia and social care is one of the distinguishing features of “The Great Demographic Reversal”. When economists discuss big macroeconomic trends, they too rarely examine these topics in detail. The authors combine telling statistics, such as the estimated $1 trillion in direct and indirect costs of dementia, or a prediction that the number of people living with dementia will triple between 2015 and 2050 to 152 million, with anecdotal details that make their treatment of the subject anything but dry.

Chinese lenders’ domestic projects complicate matters, said Liu Ying, at Beijing’s Renmin University. “Every time China commits to relieve debt in Africa, there will be an outcry and pressure domestically from people who still say that they don't have enough to eat.”
