Where the hell is Haverhill?  I put up with his irrelevant and unwanted ISU ramblings since football season, and then, when there's fianlly and ISU thread...

Another good one:

Classic.  When it seems you had your "great job seniors" post game talk ready your Big 12 tournament game; that's another great sign you might be a SLTH.

Hope Saturdays in February turn out better than Saturdays in January.

1-3 on Saturdays.

Can we move all weekend games to Mondays?

You guys should really think about getting those Big 12 School Icons to put on threads, on 'the other site' I would always just look for the ISU icons and click on them. Your making this difficult!!! I don't think KSU knows the definition of Angry Fan.

We lead the overall series 132-76 and lead 48-44 at the Hilton. Last year, we won 50-46 in Ames. We have won 7 straight in the series. What looks promising is that Martin is 4-0 vs. Iowa State, while McDermott is 0-6 all-time against us.

Here is the 'official' A Look at Iowa State:

The Cyclones are 13-9 (2-5) with no good wins and losses to Northern Iowa, at Cal and to Duke in Chicago. The Cyclones return 4 starters from a squad that posted a 15-17 overall record, including a 4-12 mark in conference play in 2008-09. The Cyclones are projected to finish 8th in the Big XII.

The Cyclones are lead by F's Craig Brackins and Marquis Gilstrap. Brackins is averaging 17 points/game (leads the team), 8 rebounds/game and 3 assists/game. The 6'10", 230-pound junior was on the radar of NBA scouts last season. He would have been a first-round pick, maybe even top 15.

Gilstrap is averaging 15 points/game, 9 rebounds/game (leads the team) and 1 assist/game. Gilstrap, a 6'6" forward, played his first season of junior college ball in 2005-06 but about 10 games into his first season he suffered a broken leg that was so severe he believed it might be the end of his career. He left junior college and got a job and didn't play in 2006-07 or 2007-08 before enrolling at a community college and getting his career back on track.

G Diante Garrett leads the team in assists with 5 assists/game. Garrett, a 6-4 junior, started all 32 games last season and ranked third in the league in assists. He had a breakout game against Oklahoma with 17 points and 10 assists, and two games later he contributed 13 points and 11 assists against Missouri.

The Cyclones were hoping that this was going to be a better year. Brackins will most likely head to the NBA next season and, although they'll try to get him a medical redshirt, it is mostly likely the last season for Gilstrap as well. After saying all of that though, the Cats can score too easily (the Cyclones will try to slow it down like Nebraska did), have a slight rebounding advantage and shoot free throws better. The Cyclones are capable of shooting the three and getting back into games but I expect the Cats to win again!

I knew you folks would want to see it !
