If a place overloads their salsa with cilantro (think americanized tex-mex places) it does taste like soap to me.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

I have this but with celary.  If something has the tiniest bit of celery in it it makes it taste like assholes.  Like, Gates BBQ sauce tastes like celery filled assholes to me.

IMO, the proper amount of cilantro to a Pico makes it taste freshy to me.  Too much, and I agree that a soapiness starts to apply.

"Street Tacos" typically have onion and cilantro...they are delicious. That is not a subjective statement, but rather objective due to the world renowned deliciousness of street tacos.

Also, neither Gates sauce nor celery (salt) taste like assholes.  Chicago Dogs have celery salt on them and they too are world renowned for their deliciousness.

ya they use a lot of celery seed in their sauce.

i love the flavor of celery but don't like the texture.

cilantro makes me want to throw up.  i can't even do the rice at chipotle.  the salsa at jose peppers has a lot of cilantro in it too. sad, really...

Today is a day of retribution for all the anti-cilantroites in the world.  Liberation is upon us!

No longer must we sit in the shadows inspecting each mexican meal we order, searching for the tiniest bits and pieces of this weed that has infected our food stores.

So the linked article basically states that clams is an eight foot tall genetic mutant that is predisposed to dislike an herb that the vast majority of the world finds to be quite pleasant. Color me shocked. Some real earth shattering stuff right there folks.

Bingo.

Holy crap, you should write abstracts of books for a living, because you just concisely nailed the living shazbot! out of that article.  Real talent here, folks.  Tip 'o the hat.  Go cats.

I really like cilantro, and I've never in my life connected cilantro to soap.  Or bugs.

I wish the NBAF would invent a shot to cure 'Clams of his mutation.  It's like knowing that kid who hated pizza in grade school and just being like "YOU ARE RUINING YOUR LIFE, YOU FREAK, JUST EAT IT!"

Love cilantro, but not a fan of people who over do it.

Hate Celery too, fwiw.

Guess what I made Sunday? A black bean, mango, jalapeno, lime, salsa. It was glorious on our pepper jack nachos.

When the NBAF perfects the cure, make sure you get on the list.  You are missing out.

Cilantro is awesome.  It makes the difference between a dish being meh or spectacular.

I'm in the 'I hate cilantro' camp.  It's the reason I don't eat at Chipolte more than I do.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

cilantro is great.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

get it without rice, like 'clams. also, get the hot salsa, like 'clams does, no cilantro.
