Probably should have stayed away from goEMAW.com yesterday... 3 hours of sleep and hours of sandbagging= Crabby Havs. People are in much higher spirits today all across Ames and Central Iowa.

the mall is safe!!!!!!1111!!!!!!

I'm not comfortable with our Cats playing in that death trap.  The ames game should be moved to OOD.  Or kick isu out of the conference.

Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines is where our home games will be played if Hilton is not ready. Last week I actually thought it'd be cool if Farmageddon was played at Wells Fargo and Sprint instead of Hilton and Bramlage. To each his own I guess.

How many more empties will that make?

JFC, Iowans love them some wrasslin.  Prolly the most people that have ever been in Wells Fargo, other than possibly the last time John Cougar Mellencamp(heard he keeps "Cougar" in his name when roaming in Iowa) was in town.

The Nile rover valley is fertile from being flooded every year.  Doesn't make it a great place to live.

From what I understand, they're also wading in Skunk Creek.

Before we play in that Wells Fargo arena I want some confirmation that it wasn't designed by anyone from Iowa or with an Iowa education.  That river looks AWFUL close.   :ohno:

The court itself is 15 feet above record flood stage. Plus, its winter and everything will freeze in place instead of float downstream. The City of Des Moines and Polk County spent upwards of $300 million on the arena so it is safe to say they have more access to flood prevention technology.

I'm here on the ground in Ames, Iowa. What a disaster. And then to be hit by flooding? Awful.

The Fightin' Havs should just focus on recuiting descendants of God himself, if they plan on playing in that POS for the forseeable future.  IMO.

"skunk river"?

Glad to see the levees on Toilet Bowl creek held at least...

I used to fish the skunk river in high school...and don't knock the name...the river smells absolutely incredible.
