Yeah, just saw mild right ankle sprain. Pretty sad that Schefter and a bunch of well-known media are blowing this out of proportion. (I think)

Heard on the radio today that Fisher is now back in full pads and uni today but didn't know what his availability would be or if he would be fully participating today.  I didn't know that he was out.  Hurt?

Chiefs just traded Jon Baldwin to 49ers for AJ Jenkins.  Not really worth getting worked up over in any fashion.  Both are crappy.

It's like you're trading sandwiches at school and both parties have a veggie sandwich involved. Where's the meat?  :frown:

Atleast AJ is speedy and might be able to blow the top off defenses so we can utilize Avery better.

Better than running shitty routes and dropping balls.

yep.  Baldwin was gonna be cut, so guess they figured they had nothing to lose.  gamble on the "change of scenery" thing.  If it doesn't work out, cut him and you're in the same spot you would've been in with Baldwin.

Why do you think Baldwin was going to be cut?  It's not like the Chiefs are exactly stockpiled at wide receiver.

Reporting from training camp (i.e. St. John, Petro, Danny Parkins, etc.) was that he'd had a horrible camp, that he was dropping balls, and that he'd basically checked out mentally.

Then, following Baldwin's drops against the 49ers, Reid says of Baldwin:  "I can tell you that when given the opportunity in this league, you’d better catch the football.’’

Seemed like the writing was on the wall.

Jenkins ran a 4.39 at the combine, making him easily the fastest WR on the Chiefs roster and hopefully a better compliment to Bowe

610 said this guy played in one game last year, was targeted one time, and is credited with one drop.

Yeah this guy sucks. So does Baldwin.  What's the downside to the trade?  Were in no worse position IMO.

Not very often that two recent first round picks at the same position get traded for one another

Reports from both camps that they were going to be cut.  Both teams aren't exactly stacked at WR so they decided what's the harm?

Atleast it's good to know other GM's will actually speak with us now.

Worst case, he sucks and the Chiefs release him.  Best case, it ends up like the Royals trading Sanchez for Guthrie.

The Chiefs are stacked at WR?  I don't see that.

Devon Wylie ran a 4.36, Donnie Avery ran a 4.43 (and reportedly as low as 4.32).  They have a few speed guys; it's Jenkins' combination of good speed and decent size that made him worthy of a first round pick and apparently attractive enough to the Chiefs for them to give up on Baldwin.
