It's Cassel's stutter steps that bother the crap out of me. He  all day in the backfield to throw a half ass screen pass for 3 yards.

It's like watching Alan Webb in a Chiefs uniform.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

I think I was wrong about this team. Even Peyton Manning couldn't save this shitfest of a roster. 4 wins, no playoffs.

Look! Up in the air! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...Matt Cassel flying through the air celebrating a preseason touchdown pass.

haters.

really weird definition of hater.

i love the chiefs - which means i want them to win football games. lots of them. important ones even. perhaps especially.

matt cassell makes that an impossibility. maybe crennell as well. also maybe(probably) pioli. jury's still out on those two.

what they do concerning the qb position going forward will determine their fate.

Matt Cassell, Romeo Crennell, and Scott Pioli are 3 of the best examples all time of the Peter Principle.  If those were your backup QB, D-Coordinator, and head of scouting, you might have a fantastic organization on your hands.

I will offer one rough ridin' guarantee:  Chiefs finish below the Raiders.  Book it.

Dayton is different.  He doesn't have the ego that Pioli does holding him back and has handcuffs put on him by ownership.  Judging any Royals GM is almost impossible.

I agree. Dayton has put together an excellent farm system and that is the most you could really expect any GM to accomplish without more funds to work with.

Cassell sucks balls but that video isnt much of an illustration of his abilities.  I could put together one hell of a video of Snyder's qbs and make them all look terrible.  Yeah, the Chiefs are terrible but lets at least be honest here.

college is not pro.

YPA is possibly the most important measure of a qb's ability in today's nfl. cassel's ypa in that game was 4.9. wilson, a rookie, nearly averaged 10. that video was not a cut and paste hack job. it showed 24 of his 34 attempts. 70 percent of his passes did not go more than 8 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. just completely inept.

i know it was the preseason. but it was the 3rd game, the 1st teams played the majority of minutes, and he looked like the same guy from last year.

this team will not win more than 9 games this year.

Guess I didnt realize that Cassell called his own plays.  My mistake.  And I forgot to note just how much preseason games reflect a players ability.  Just ask Thomas Clayton.  Dude lead the league in preseason rushing and he's continued tht pretty well.

he has sucked for years in the regular season. he has always had a weak arm and has not stretched the field. he is reaffirming years of damning evidence from the regular season in this preseason.

thus - it effing matters.

Guess I didnt realize that Cassell called his own plays.

stupidity isn't charming. neither are terrified checkdowns game after game after game.

the quick/short passing game in new england with welker/hernandez works because brady will throw it over your head on the sidelines and up the seam if you cheat up. cassell won't.

thus, cap'n checkdown will ensure that the defenses cheat up and stop the short passes for minimal gains and clog the running lanes.

it has happened. it will continue to happen.
