The Chiefs/Andy never ever say anything of substance about anyone or their health.  All of a sudden everone is all "Pat is great", even leaking to reporters how well he is.

I think he's effed.

Regardless if he's "good to go", it's a high ankle sprain and he will be less mobile and at risk for reaggravation. Defense has to play really well for the Chiefs to have a chance.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

Maybe this is more "pet peeve" worthy, but I am annoyed by the headlines saying this is the first time in the post-season that Mahomes has been the underdog. It's like, the literal reason he is the underdog is because bettors are not expecting him to play the entire game.

Line had definitely moved back to Chief's -1.  I'm sure it move several times more.  I'll guess even when all is said and done..  :dunno:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

We started as the underdogs. I'll take your word for the new line, which shows exactly why that initial take is so annoying. The odds are reflective of Mahomes' perceived chances of playing on Sunday.

the chiefs opened at -2.5, and the line was immediately bet down to -1, then got all the way out to bengals -2.5 a couple days ago. now that mahomes is practicing and looks relatively good, it's back to chiefs -1

Never did get chiefs + ML bet in. Mahomes should have come out in a boot and crutches

I don't care for Joe Burrow. He looks like the villain in a coming of age comedy.

Am I the only one who thinks a hot apple cider is a good game day drink for a 530 kick on a cold January day?

Picture in your mind's eye sipping a warmed cider with a bit of bourbon in it, a blanket over your lap, in your favorite chair, watching Pacheco break tackles on his way to the endzone. Fire in the fireplace of course.

Sounds absolutely awful.

But it does inspire me to think of a game day cocktail. Thank you for that at least.

i like the spice of rye whiskey in my hot cider vs the sweetness of most bourbons.

Louisburg Cider + Bulleit Rye was my goto for many cold trick or treatings
