Nope.  He's really not all that good.  Far better than anything we have, but not better than JJ.  Probably not better than Jones, Gabbert, or Gilbert either.

This and Gregory last year show just how bad our QB situation is.  Masoli's the final stop gap before we roll the dice on the Sams kid (our only and best hope)

Only difference this time is Masoli isn't a worthless piece of crap.

Not on the field anyway...

Is this the football board or the goddam citizenship board?

My bad.  I was under the impression that "worthless piece of crap human being" was a very common phrase on this board.   :dunno:  No one is denying that he is a good qb, but he is a total POS off the field.

well, if this was the citizenship board, maybe his off the field behavior would be relevant.

You know who else is a worthless POS human being?  You are, Rusty.  You are.  Is that relevant?  Probably not, but it is true.

Nah.  Rusty just has a case of permanent red ass about the football team and it irritates the hell out of me.

Maybe not the "best" but he would fit perfectly.  He can run, would free up Thomas, has Smith, Quarles and Harper as targets.  Our offense would go from about 10-8 in the Big12 to  4-2.

This is not true.  I will be very happy if we land Masoli, because I like KSU football very much.  I'm also a very nice person.

He'd be great in our offense.  He doesn't throw all that well, but he runs very well and and throws pretty well on the run.  Wish like hell we could get him for a couple years, he would be very dynamic once he got the offense down well.

Can't picture this headline w/ Bill Stewart as WVU's coach:

HOLY MOLY, STEWART BAGS MASOLI!

Gotta be down to K-State and Ole Miss. Snyder knows adding Masoli is his only hope of not going 5-7. Snyder will be so desperate he'll offer to take out a life insurance policy in his name. The fact that Snyder screwed Coffman last year and turned the team over to Gregory also has to work in K-State's favor. Snyder would be willing to guarantee the starting job to Masoli and has no problem telling the media that it's a "four-man race."

Snyder: "Klein is really impressing me."
Snyder: "Coffman looks good, he's really pushing the other youngsters."  :gocho:
Snyder: "Lamur is progressing."  ;)

And Masoli?

"He doesn't even know the playbook yet. These things take time."  :blank:

Can he play defense as well?  Specifically, linebacker or defensive tackle.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Oops, didn't see that Chris Low was reporting Masoli to Ole Miss was "very likely."

Low, unlike Schad, knows what he's talking about. One of the best in the biz, IMO.

Masoli is a Rebel.

When it comes to talking the Right Reverend Houston Nutt has, will and will always blow away Old Balls.  Recruiting is a talking/selling business, which is why we will perpetually suck at it until we have at least 3 assistants that are coked out of their minds 24/7/365 back on the staff.  The only thing that will prevent the Right Reverand Nutt from getting this kid is numbers.   But right now some 3rd string 84th scholarship tailback is locking himself in his room and has decided to opt out of "going out with the guys" for the next 3 weeks.

The shirt tucks hate the message, they hate the messenger . . .. but it has to be said today, tomorrow and twice on Sunday.
