I just picked up Gaslight Anthem's new one and I like what I've heard so far.

Also, I just discovered the music of Will Oldham, AKA Bonnie "Prince" Billy. If you're into singer/songwriter, country/folk, you might enjoy him.

And, as asava said, Broken Social Scene's new one is indeed superb.

I recommend seeing Lotus in person if you get the chance.  LCD Soundsystem meets Phish meets a DJamer.  And it's better than all of them.

oh no... i did say i liked the single. i'll give  you that. and its about the only bright spot on the album. however the album on the whole was a disappointment to me. which is really sad considering how much i love "you forgot it in the people." remember seeing them in larry town on halloween and it was pretty good times. but ever since feist has become superinvolved/partoftheband/blowjmachine i haven't been too much of a fan.

i've never been able to get into bonnie prince. know a ton of people who love him. and i just never have gotten it.

Good recommend.  I had a free ticket to Lotus and thought they were just another lame-ass jam band, but they blew me away.
