does ne1 here like pavement?

dude.  coming to Uptown Theater in KC on 9/11.
http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0600445AF82DE996

looks like i know where i'll be celebrating 9/11.

oooops.

Yeah, that will be awesome. I've seen Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks twice now, they're great, but never thought I'd get the chance to see Pavement (and I had Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain on vinyl in 7th Grade  :gocho:).

Too bad bands always sound awful at the Uptown.

This article is pretty fantastic if you haven't read it.

So, this Das Racist mixtape is pretty damn good.  It's goofy, but hard not to enjoy.

I love the video for Das Racist "Chicken And Meat."

Brilliant thread michigancat.  Just brilliant.  The only way I can contribute is to give my annual link to this lineup of great bands even rusty hasn't heard of yet (with samples for each):  http://www.thelmagazine.com/newyork/8-nyc-bands-you-need-to-hear/Content?oid=1577810

Enjoy!

What's even more stupid is going to watch some guy play a mashup "live" on stage.  (Click mouse on "play.")  But I saw Girl Talk last summer, and I gotta admit it was pretty damn fun (when drunk).

some are really really bad and some are better than both originals (like Absorb the Lip Gloss).

so i had no idea that opera had such powers, but check it. heres access to my entire music library.

password: continue

i'll keep this up until it interferes with my life. till then. happy listening.

also, side note. there are several artists that I personally don't listen to. I have a large collection that serves as a library. And a library don't discriminate, ya dig?
