So i'm looking at my shelf space and would really like to stack my record player on top of my receiver. I know it's not a good idea to just put it on there b/c vibration and heat, but have heard you can resolve those issues if you get 1 1/2" to 2" bouncy balls to stack the record player on. From what I've seen, people are just using blue tack to make sure the balls don't move. Anyone done this or know one way or the other if it is a good idea?

How much does your receiver vibrate? Any dampening on your player's feet? Unless you're a true audiophile, you're probably fine.

I don't think it has a ton to do with the vibrations, but every electronic device vibrates a little. The balls help minimize it, but it's more about creating space so the receiver doesn't over heat.
