I once accidentally locked my cat in the hall closet all night and Chicat and JHGD rescued it.
She rescued it.  I was trying to put it back in.  I just kinda assumed it belonged there.

When I was a kid I had a dog named Sadie.  Well anyway, my dog had puppies and one of those puppies fell off of a pretty high deck, but the puppy was fine.   :surprised:

One time, my dad's friend was driving home from work late a night, when a deer jumped out in front of him. He hit it, and then decided he wanted to keep it. He got out of the car to claim his prize, to discover it was not dead, just badly injured. He went to his truck to get his knife, but it wasn't there. Nor was his gun. So he got his tire iron and spent the next 30 minutes beating it to death.

The End

Some friends of my grandparents got straight decapitated when the deer they hit came up through their windshield.

i spent several minutes trying to figure out how to kill a carhit pronghorn once.  finally decided on bashing it's head in with a shovel, but it recovered enough to limp off into the desert before i could get back to it with the shovel.  pretty fast for a dying animal.

another time i put a wounded deer in my pickup bed (w. shell) and tried to take it to a vet.  it stayed quiet and alive for most of the trip, but about 5 miles out of town tried to stand up and escape.  did lots of bouncing around.  then quieted back down enough by the time we had to go through a military checkpoint (lots of questions).  almost as soon as we got through, we checked him and he'd died.  tried to give the body to the soldiers, but they weren't as enthused as you'd think.

I can't believe no one is impressed by my peacock story. How many of you douches had peacocks in your neighborhood?

When I was little, my cat, Sparky, tried to crawl up a gutter and got stuck.   It took us two days of searching for the echoing "meow" before we found the stupid bitch.

After we got her out, it took three days for her voice to come back!  :surprised:

When I was in high school, my other cat, C.A.T  (pronounced sea-a-tee)   would hide in my boat; one day I was taking the boat to the lake and happened to look in the rear view mirror just in time to see her jumping out at 55mph and rolling across the highway.  I slammed on the breaks to check on her but she was already running back home.    :surprised:

  • Roomiez in college had ferrets.  One of them(Sebastian) knew how to play fetch, and my bro was tossing the little ferret toy around one night until it got bored or most likely got the cheezy scent of a cheeto and went to investigate underneath the recliner.  My friend sat up while the great Cheeto investigation was underway and severed Sebastians head from the rest of his body.  A ferret, while small, will spew blood. NO lie.
  • We had 8 cats growing up.  All at different times. All killed mauled by my neighbors huntin' dawgs.

All of the dogs I had as a kid (BJ, Lucky, Mr. Doo, and Buck) are all running around playing at some awesome farm somewhere. I am prob going to go visit someday when I get time. I bet it is such a great place and all of my dogs are prob so happy there with all of the room they have to run around and play.
