I like the par three on the back where you hit off of the top of the hill.  That's fun.  In contrast, there is a par three on the front where you have to hit up a giant hill, and that hole is complete poop.

Meh, it's better than Forbes.

Everyone knows the Queen of Courts was the #6 Homecoming Queen candidate.

But props though.

Saul

Ever consider writing a Topeka fact book?

Odd mix of opinions about Topeka in this thread.  You have Saul, who is as proud as punch about his home town.  Then you have several others who loathe it.  Then you even have still others who seem to be glad that they don't live there, but do harbor some fond feelings of the ol' town.

It's a shithole, but it's my home town so I have to stick up for it a bit, ya know?

Perfect summary.

I love making fun of Topeka any chance I get, but some non-Topekan says a word about it, and I want to take my shirt off and fight them.

Quick Question for natives...

Were you born at?:

A) Stormont Vail
B) St. Francis

I was born at St. Francis.  Mrs. PJ was born at Stormont.

Every time I drive past St. Francis now, I think, "Man, someone's gonna get some MRSA up in there."

Anyone remember "Snorky" from Stormont Vail?  It was a pink mouse looking thing that was their official mascot for awhile.  I heard the guy that played Snorky got in trouble though because he was a pedophile or something, and they discontinued the mascot.

I have pictures from about 25 years ago when I got my tonsils out, and Snorky gave us a tour to make us feel more comfortable.

I think there was a short book too.

I understand Snorky was phased out because he really freaked some drupped-up kids being wheeled in/out of the OR.
