this definitely qualifies as racist history. you can't have a great un-racisting victory without a racist side to battle against.
Northern Topeka, specifically north of the river, was alleged to have had "sunset" customs in place as well. It's a terrible history.
What is especially hilarious to me is that a school district would even want to retain the name of "Seaman." I mean, it's god damn punchline name even without it being one-in-the-same with the KKK. "LOL, you are named after [bodily fluid]!" "No we aren't, we are named after the KKK!"
