Did we escape with a missed over and back or did he need to dribble to establish possession in front court?

I hate that the thing that I'm commenting on first is negative because that was so fun, but how the hell did they overturn that goal tending? It's especially bullshit since we got the rebound and scored before they blew the whistle.

I do not believe the scenario shown is applicable to the situation last night.

I need to find the video.  I have a 30-year veteran official reviewing it for us.

I know from my coaching days before there is a back court violation the player and the ball have to be established in front court.

The classic scenario is a player dribbling steps one foot in front court while the ball and his other foot are still in back court.  Then, fans and some coaches lose their crap when his front court foot comes back to back court.  It's not over and back because both feet and the ball never got establish in front court.

I am reading a ball played in from out of bounds has no front or back court status, but I can't find what makes the ball status change.

Last night the ball was thrown in by Arizona from the baseline, caught by a Cat who clearly had both feet in front court then passed to a player clearly in the back court.

What i saw was Dug catching the ball and establishing possession with both feet in the front court. Then he threw it to Max who was established in the backcourt and Max caught it before he was established in the front court. Backcourt violation.

Agree.  It seemed like a no brainer call.

The player was not established in the front court, but the ball never entered the back court.

Has there ever been a guard better than Dug McDaniel at using the backboard?

Nope. Especially when only touching it with one hand!

Could still make it in with 18 or 19 wins, right?

A win out and one in KC would make me confident.  We have some very nice wins, just need to stack some more of them.

Prior to last night's game, the announcers were viewing it as a must win, but Lunardi disagreed and said a win would "keep K-State on the path of making the tourney"

I interpret that to mean that if we win out in the regular season and snag 1-2 wins in the Big 12 tourney, we'd be more likely than not to be in.

Yeah, I felt winning either game basically slightly helps us, winning both would've been huge, losing both slightly hurts. Definitely gotta win out or at least be 4-1. Then probably 1 maybe 2 in KC.

No at large team in the last three years has received a bid with more than 14 total losses. If you view 14 losses as the max, you have to go 5-0 down the stretch or win the B12 tournament.

i like how people are seriously talking about going 5-0 after these last 2 games.  equally as funny as the people talking about the 9 different things that needed to happen the last week or 2 of football for the cats to get in the big 12 title game.

most likely: beat arizona st, ucf, and colorado at home. lose at cinci and lose at home against iowa state

finish season at 16-15, 10-10

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Whoa whoa, not saying I think we are winning out. Saying that if we do so, I think we make the tournament.

Agreed. I don't think anybody expects it, just stating what they believe is required.  I expect 3-2 followed by an optimistic 2-1 in the B12 followed by K-State trying to tell everyone we somehow got screwed when we're left out.
