I'm not sure who the personnel changes would be for players, he already plays the good ones. Unless he's going to play Taj and Mobi to motivate the others.

Maybe rotation, PT, or positional changing to bigger or smaller more. More likely it’s just a threat for the change in effort.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Cam Carter is leading LSU to a turnaround
Heading into the season, LSU was predicted to finish at ot near the bottom of the SEC by nearly everyone that shared their opinion. Games like Thursday Night show you how LSU can exceed expectations and return to the NCAA Tournament. LSU has a true number one in Carter who can close out games for LSU which will play a massive role in winning some tough SEC games.

Trashy and pointless move by Hawkins. I kind of have mixed feelings about Cam. He did a lot during the 22-23 season for the Cats. Am I wrong to assume that he was already making plans to leave Manhattan during the last half of the 23-24 season? He announced he was gone within a few days of the season ending. I don't know how a player who is expected to be leading the team could be fully bought in at the level needed to have success in late Feb and March if they are investing energy in planning their departure. Just life in the transfer plus NIL era, I guess.  :th_twocents:

Cam was great but man our team looked like Cam did at the end of last year.

Hope Tang can figure it out.

That was awful last night.

I liked #fastdug's effort. Seems like not starting him the first two games did something.

Hopefully some of these guys stick around for a few years. It would to be extremely hard to continue to care about a revolving door of a roster year in and year out.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I don't have an answer to his likability, but when our own fans are taunting him and hurling clearly audible insults at him during the first half of his third game, I'm not sure it's an apples to apples comparison on how likable he is because I don't remember our fanbase doing something like that before.

It seems like since players are getting paid, fans feel that they can criticize them harder than ever before. I've seen/heard so many CaN wE gEt A rEfUnD?! "jokes" in the past 15ish hours. I don't know, perhaps the critique is fair. It just doesn't seem like any 20 year old should be treated like that when the crime is "not playing well enough for the fanbase's liking."

I think it's wrong to question Cam's effort or buy in at the end of the season, because his coaches clearly didn't. I think that last night that he looked like he did for us when he was good. He had a couple of those mind numbing turnovers that he's always good for too. He shot well, has always been a bit of a streaky shooter.

The Hawkins stuff pisses me off, but it's not the least bit surprising. Acting like that is always who he's been and we all know it too. Anyone who has watched college basketball the last four years has spent time both laughing at Hawkins and being made infuriated by him. Most of the people losing their minds about him now will think he is hunky dory when he goes 15, 8, and 7 against KU while shutting Hunter Dickinson down and constantly talking crap before, during, and after the game. It's all part of the Coleman Hawkins experience and we had to know what we were in for because this is always what he's been and everyone knows it.

Most of the backcourt players have another year of eligibility. Think we will be scouring the portal for front court guys since most of those dudes are going to be out of eligibility. Baye Fall could be a nice piece to return.

Yes, getting paid more to play sports than most people make in a lifetime opens people up to harsher criticism.

Fair point, but I can't imagine hurling insults at college aged kids is going to make them play better.

i'll be honest, i hadn't seen coleman play before this year outside a highlight here or there.  is his game always to sit outside and shoot threes, because he sucks at that particular skill.

Can’t argue against that.

There was a moment last night, where he caught the ball directly under the basket then passed it out to Hausen, when the entire area all at once audibly started with "What the..." then Hausen swished the three and everyone stopped.

Coleman had 2-3 opportunities leading up to that where he didn't shoot the ball when he should have.

I think we will see KSU openly boo him before the end of the season.

I know we're on goEMAW and we love PI'ing, but I would find that abhorrent. Maybe fatherhood has made me a softie.

I am with you.  I am not calling for it.  I am predicting it.  There is a wild amount of dislike in the fans in sections 17 and 18(source:my ears).

No, and he hasn't done that this year either. He has as many assists as 3 point attempts. He's not going to be a guy who is scoring 18 ppg or anything, he's a souped up glue guy, does a lot of things good, great at absolutely nothing other than talking crap.
