Defense transfer portal 'cruitin has been really good.  Offense at least they kept most the existing good players.

Offense hasn’t added the former 4 stars like defense, but I like what the coaches have done in the portal on the offensive side a lot. 2 big receivers who can step in right away, a veteran RB to compete with the younger guys for snaps behind Edwards, and 2 big linemen with multiple years of eligibility left to mix in with the younger guys there that the coaches seem really high on. Defense needed an injection of talent, especially in the secondary, and the strategy there sure seems to be geared more towards bringing in high potential players.

to;dr- Offense already has its stars, needed role players and got them. Defense needs potential stars and got potential stars

Do think Edward’s will get more carries than Jackson? More total scrimmage touches?

Edwards more snaps and touches. Jackson and Ervin split the rest of the carries

They need to use him like they did with Deuce Vaughn.  He's too small for him to do the same plays as DJamer did.

I don’t think Edward’s can be a feature back like Vaughn or Sporles. Has to be a gadget player w/ 8-10 traditional carries max. I think Jackson is really good and will prove to be better between the tackles. Also, no way Edward’s is an effective pass blocker.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I think we'll still find our power/between the tackles back.  I wouldn't be surprised to see some options there with spring transfers with how roster cut downs will work.  I have been impressed and surprised with how Edwards runs through contact this year, although I'd certainly rather utilize his elite speed.

I thought we used Edwards a fair amount as a receiver out of the backfield in an attempt to get him into open space where he does his damage.

You mean other than the back we got from Nebraska? I can't see us adding any other running backs, unless there are unforeseen departures from the room. We are 20+ players over the 105 maximum we need to get down to by June 1st.

I did not see that, I was thinking additional to last seasons roster.  Everyone is 20 players over right now, I'd imagine we see most schools send 23-25 packing and take on a couple new ones out there.  It'll be a huge culling for FCS to sort through though.

Well it would seem that the only way to find a list of who is transferring in this year is to pay for a website. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of who is headed here?

Jackson seems strong enough to run inside.  I don't know enough about Ervin to judge.
He's from Polk County - of course he's strong.

I like that we are setting up an exchange program with Ohio State. It's a no-brainer for both parties, really
