Abmas vs Perry
« on: November 20, 2023, 09:13:42 PM »
Curious how their stats were matching up since some on here acted as though Perry was much the recruiting consolation prize. This is both thru five games, tho I didn't update Abmas'steal and TO stats from the UCONN game.

FG%: Perry 40 (24-60), Abmas, 37.5 (26-64); 3-pt%: Perry 37.8 (17-45), Abmas 41.9 (13-31); FT%: Perry 96.9 (31-32), Abmas 75;

Reb: Perry 5.4, Abmas 3; Asst: Perry 4.8 Abmas 3.8; Stls: Perry 1.2, Abmas 1; TOs: Perry 1.8 Abmas 1.8; Pt/game: Perry 19.2 Abmas 13.6

What sticks out is that Perry is getting to the line at much greater rate and converting at an astounding rate, which explains much of the difference in per game scoring. Appears to be a stronger rebounder but sample size may fool.

Perry is such a good rhythm and set shooter. I don't know if he's had more than a handful of open shots.

Hoping Ames can help create more open shots for him, and should be even better when Tomlin gets back (especially if Kaluma continues to trend up)
