UA seems to have done well with Utah and Texas Tech throwbacks in basketball. We already have a good template for those but hopefully they can continue that trajectory. I think they would do a nice primary (non-throwback) set well too.

I am sure they can execute our extremely basic football jerseys, not very worried there. Notre Dame, Navy Utah, and CSU have all had good basic and alts under UA.

I think KSU will ultimately come to an agreement with Nike to renew the contract.  If Nike decides to play hardball I think UA is a legit bid though.  I'd give it 80% chance for Nike renewal and 20% for UA.

here's a true story, after the MLB trade deadline I was like "I can't wear this Mets hat anymore this season" and i went to Academy and bought a UA hat (gray with black lettering) and I can't help but think there was a cause/effect sort of relationship there

I have no memory of ua transitioning from spandex stuff worn under other companies' gym clothes or uniforms, to making those clothes and uniforms and even the shoes steph wears.

If we left Nike for UA the jerseys won't be an issue, our uniforms are pretty hard to eff up and the only truly horrific UA uniforms I can think of right off hand are these, and they are a result of some weird crap tech tried and nothing that UA forced on them.


The issue with UA is their barely existent but piece of crap fan gear designs.

UA makes the best youth leg guards for catchers in 9U/10U. They irl rule. They are a bit shorter than Mizuno/All Star guards so fit all the smaller kids best.

crap good point. Hard to imagine UA putting out a hot POA lavender quarter zip. And as someone who just finally like 2 weeks ago was able to get ahold of said 0.25zip, this might impact how I feel about all of this

A lot of the best fan gear isn't made by the major manufacturers. Homefield, Charlie Hustle, others are pushing more of the apparel that fans are snapping up.

Personally I lean more towards Nike, but I won't care that much if we go to UA. Back when our only options for gear would be Nike/UA or the K-State Super Store it would've been a bigger deal.

With Nike signing the deal with Fanatics to produce most of their fan gear I care even less.
