What a beast. It has been said a thousand times but can you imagine what he would have done if he wasn't the only weapon opposing defenses had to account for when facing the Cats? Best DT memory is him choking out the Hawks to bring the Governor's Cup back to Manhattan in 2009.

Gaskins was a freak.  Loved that dude.
All-American linebacker plus NCAA indoor high jump champion is a crazy combination.

https://vault.si.com/vault/1993/08/30/division-i-a-93-percell-gaskins-
He would try, like many football players would, to play basketball with us at the rec.  He was worse than most. however, he had no problem dunking from the free throw line.   His jumping ability was insane, his core strength was as well.

I know, I know, some here may say what about Broxterman.  With a ball in his hands, Percell’s dunks were next level.  Probably about 25% better than mine irl.

I love Ed, personally love Ed. Ed couldn't ball.

This just occurred to me but are you confusing Broxterman with Nathan Leeper? Leeper was a rough ridin' outstanding basketball player and a crazy dunker.

What were they doing to impart core strength to those football players during 1.0? I remember watching a shirtless TNew playing bball at the Rec and it was layers upon layers of ab muscles. Like groups of ab muscles I didn't even know could exist in humans.

no, i’m not confusing ed and nathan.  my original point was that ed could jump, like percell, but couldn’t dunk like percell.  neither were very good at basketball, ed probably better than percell.  leaper was the best of the three but i’d disagree with your assessment that he was outstanding.

ok but what’s that mean?  i’m just basing my opinion on a very gray memory from 25 years ago so whatever

I once witnessed a young T-Nee throw down a 360 dunk at the Salina YMCA. It was the summer before his  junior year of high school.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Hey Cats!
Just dropping in to let y'all know there will be streams again this year on my usual weekly posts. There are some changes; old streams die, new streams are born. Look for my threads within the hour of kickoffs.
Cheers!
