As someone who cooks bacon almost every day for breakfast I am firmly on team Skillet. Throw 2 slices of bacon on the skillet at medium low heat, jump in the shower, flip the bacon, dry off and its pretty much done.

the idea of dirtying up a whole damn skillet for two measly scraps of bacon is bizarre to me.

not really a hack but maybe a passive aggressive hack a la katkid:  shallots are just sucky ass onions.  anytime a recipe calls for a shallot, sub in an onion to improve the flavor.

I just look at shallots as small onions. Been using them a lot more lately when I don't want to use a whole onion or have half an onion sitting around. They're maybe a little more pungent but when cooked or macerated there's not a huge difference

I hang my bacon raw from a tiny clothesline at the center of the table and pass around a blowtorch so everyone can cook their bacon just the way they like it.

this is for premium subscribers only, but in order to make guac (guacamole) more creamy, add avocado oil.

Worcestershire Sauce; use it 3x more than you are currently using it.
Yes!  It's also a great addition to red beer if you're into that.

More than that I can pass

Made waffles for the kids this morning and noticed that Bisquick changed their waffle/pancake instructions to be exactly the same for both foods. They used to have a slightly different set of instructions for making waffle batter (more milk, basically). I couldn't tell much of a difference in the final product.

Just consumed the best leftover pizza I've ever had:
1. Heat pellet grill to 400F
2. Place pizza to be re-warmed on a sheet of aluminum foil on the grill.
3. Reheat for 10 minutes.
This is the best pizza reheating method that I've tried.

It seems as if heating cold pizza would be a way to get rid of one of life’s greatest pleasures which is eating cold pizza so you could see why I am just sitting here shaking my head back and forth and saying out loud WTF

Grab a slice and eat that sucker while the rest heats up in the microwave.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

A great food hack is to turn on the oven and put your pizza in when you get delivery or carry out so it's fresh out of the oven

Bonus: also makes it extra crusty.

another great pizza hack to heat it up is to take the slice from the box and put it on a polypropylene plate, pour a ton of hydrochloric acid on it, let rest for 2 minutes, pat try, enjoy the organic pizza flavors the way mother nature intended

bon appetite!

I have read and semi-confirmed that the best way to quickly heat up a slice or two to it’s near original form is to put it in a pan over medium to medium high heat for a couple minutes then toss a small splash of water in there and cover to steam it the rest of the way.

My son came up with using chip clips to keep the kids burritos together.
