TP just isn’t that guy. Never has been. We should t expect him to be that. That is a coach issue, imo.

The missed FT and score and and 1 was the difference. I get road wins are tough but FFS hold on if you got one

We had nearly as many TOs in the game as points in the second half. You don’t win those games.

That was frustrating.

Also frustrating was TTU flopping all play every play.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

N'Guessian and Kaluma should be embarrassed by how all the 6-4 guards tech plays at the 4 pushed them around

18 to 7 FT disadvantage. Ballgame.
Edit: McNair shot 5 of those. Perry was the only other Cat the refs let go to the line.

They converted twice when their  7 footer missed at the line. That should never happen.

There cannot be another team in the country with a pair of guards that do the "I'm driving and I'm going to bob my head up and down to try and draw a foul" bullshit more than Tech

I hate it so much

I'm sorry didn't he hit game winners in back to back games, this year?

I think Tang would have been better off not calling timeout but let TP take a shot with enough time to maybe get a rebound. But I was wyattvisioning the game, so maybe not.

He said he wasn't happy with what he drew up. He's been nails with drawing up plays out of timeouts, he's going to not get them all right.

He is t the guy to set up an iso drive for. He doesn’t do that. It’s not his strength. This isnt me shitting on him. It’s not his thing, at least not this year and not here.

Who else you want the ball to go to at the end?  Hes the best we have.

The HBBIQ play would be to create a very high percentage shot. I would recommend an alley oop thunder dunk to Buddy bc the lob could be 3 or 4 feet too high and he can still get it

If it has to be a drive, Art.

I would have given TP the ball but would have run him across some screens or something. The guy is a shooter not a driver.

Maybe pass in to TP but swing the ball around to cam since everyone watching in person or at home was expecting TP to be the shooter.

We shouldn’t have dribbled so much time off either, imo. Holding the ball 35’ from the basket for 15-20 seconds was a bad call given how ineffective our scoring was the second half. We should have used that time to create whatever our offense would allow and play D with whatever was left.

So TP is the closer and Tang just scripted the wrong play? I could buy that, he said he was drawing up a play to get a foul on TP and should have known better.

I don’t understand stand why we let the defense watch us dribble the ball for 27 1/2 seconds and then do a one-on-one thing at the buzzer. Unless you have Jake Pullen or The Flush who can get to the hoop and draw a foul every time they want to do so. TP is good but he isn’t that player. Use the offense to move the defense out of position or something.

Down by 1, I don't think you play for a last-seco,nd shot. First, gtet a shot up so there's a chance to rebound (especially when you have  good O boarding team) and enough time to foul. Two FTs, and we'd still have a chance to tie.
