Yes, led by Nick Van Exel. They were like the early Snyder DOD teams of stud juco transfers. Herb Jones, Anthony Buford. Corey Blount was a good reserve who would dominate the following season and reach the NBA like Van Exel.

Corey Blount was from some juco in cali (iirc).  Ruben Patterson went to Indy CC though
