While it was disappointing to miss on some early transfer targets, this is a great pickup and seems to fit well.
I've read a few articles that said Tang was waiting on certain guys that had declared for the draft to make their decision on returning to school.
From the sounds of it, we have plenty of NIL money to be competitive with these portal guys.
Have been told some of them we missed out on early were due to this staff refusing to get into a bidding war. Approaching with the best and a knowingly competitive offer, and if the player/player reps start an auction/highest bidder process we drop out.
So we might've simply lost out on some, and might've dropped out on some due to the staff holding strong. It's looking damn good now, but could be really frustrating to have the money to get a couple guys but whiffing on all by refusing to play the game.
