Is Kansas the biggest villain of college basketball right now?

It seems with Coach K retiring Duke hate is considerably less and UK being for the most part major underachievers the last few years, KU has ascended to the throne of the biggest villain in college basketball right now. Have never seen a Kansas loss celebrated so much by the rest of the country and made into such a big deal as KSU’s win over KU this week. I would think it’s a combination of being National Champs, always winning especially as most claim because of the refs, and the FBI trial where we were presented as the most corrupt of them all by the media. It seems KU is more hated across college basketball by other fanbases, not just the B12, than it ever has before.

Do you embrace being the fan of what may be the biggest “villain” in college basketball? I know I do. I’m enjoying the hate spewed KU’s way the last couple of months especially the last few weeks.

There was a component of the hate for Duke that most low IQ KU fans won’t get.

K was one of the most sanctimonious coaches in CBB history who expected opposing coaches, fans and players to show reverence to him and Duke at all times.  Including averting their eyes and filing out quietly if their team beat Duke. That’s why K had to lie on multiple occasions about his petty and childish little blow ups at opposing players.

There’s an element of that at KU.

I tend to agree, but I think with them playing so many close games that may not be the case this year. 

They looked tired, they have a tough schedule.
