Defense and special teams will keep us in some games but QB and kicking game are going to lose us a lot more

100%, it's going to be that, if Tennant can be a lil better that'll solve one problem, but 9AM has to, I mean has to, be several steps better

People are very much overreacting to Tenant, he's fine. Martin, as a freshman and sophomore missed 4 extra points and 6 field goals

He also knows Kade

Maybe he just doesn’t trust Knowles et all to come down with the ball

If he's thinking about that while he's in the pocket, then he really does need a shrink. Warner caught 30 passes in 3 years and only 5 his last year at Nebraska.
You don’t think qb’s have guys that they know and trust?

Hopefully, the OC gets over AM and puts Rubley in against OU.  Even Oregan put their stud freshman in the 3rd Q vs BYU.  We need to set AM on the bench and get this kid in the game, or our season is over.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Yeah, definitely will be saved by a kid we’ve never seen play.

It doesn’t matter if we trot out Tom Brady, we are going to have a long season if sketti brains doesn’t change his play calling

Sure. But, to me, it would be weird for Werner to be a favorite given just how little he's thrown to him in games, they spent a year apart, and he's at best the third WR target here, would be weird. You might be right tho, who knows

I don’t think Warner is his favorite. I think Warner is the 3rd WR so he runs the safety valve routes that AM likes to throw to & also the WR screen type routes.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

What was weird yesterday was us running those motion plays for Warner. I mean, nice kid and all, but he's clearly the least athletic WR we have. Why we ran those plays for Warner (vs. Knowles/Brooks, etc.) is bizarre to me. Maybe they were trying to setup something else that never came to fruition, but even then - get the ball in the hands of your most dynamic playmakers.

We did quite a few for Knowles and Brooks too. We kept running those, I thought we were setting something else up. Nope.

I don't think it's clear Warner is the "least athletic" WR. He might not be the fastest but he's really good at YAC and definitely seems to do more in space on offense than Brooks at least. However, he is white.

Will just have to agree to disagree on Brooks vs. Warner in space (do agree on the white part though).

To be fair Brooks and Knowles are on the return units, probably a good indicator of what the coaches think about the athleticism of three.

Different kinds of athleticism, Deuce isn't returning kicks either. (I know Warner is nothing like Deuce).

There was a jet that looked like Knowles had all kinds of room but AM kept it on the qb power and it gained nothing.

Other than straight line speed and lateral quickness I agree Warner isn’t too far behind the other two.

Before this K-State football season started, Collin Klein could do no wrong. I knew then that he was doomed.

The moment of conversion arrived late Saturday, when Klein went from Most Popular Guy in Town to “garbage” or even “idiot.” It would be astonishing — considering he’s a local hero — if it weren’t so easy to predict.
