Avery seems to have incredible vision and makes the right cuts, in addition to being fast. He also looks pretty sturdy, to me, but that doesn't mean much since I'm kinda thinking of him in relation to our string Bean. Put me in the camp that wants to see him throw more. I need to find out just how concerned I should be.

From his HS highlight videos, he's even better than his running ability.  He was ranked high in the Elite 11 last year based on his passing skills.

I suspect the statements in public will be vague enough that it sounds like Will might be starting to keep TCU having to prep for both but yeah, he should be the guy going forward.  No disrespect to Will but Avery has way more upside and it certainly seems like time for him to see the field as the starter.

NFL fans and even coaches always get boners for a guy’s physical features. Tall guys who have some decent mobility and decent arm will get overvalued by the NFL. Maybe someday that will change. I doubt it will in my lifetime.

He has a top 15 passer rating in the country*, in limited opportunities. If anything, he hasn't thrown enough.

I just hope he’s durable. The only way our offense can be effective at such a high clip is if he runs the ball and inevitably he’s going to take some hits. (I have no reason to doubt his durability I’m just saying)

6'2", 188#  If we run AJ a bunch, he's going to take some hits where he may not be able to get off the field on his own.  He'll put on weight, but man, 188 lbs. is a pretty light runner.
