Call me when Brad gets past the first weekend in the big dance. Honestly if Brad had the same record at Kansas State that he had the first three years at Illinois, Casper Milquetoast would’ve fired his ass. Schools like K State just don’t accept underachieving mediocrity.
I know you're just bbsing, but in fairness to our guy Brad his third year they were a lock for the tournament. They were 21-10(13-7/4th in the big 10) and ranked #21 before the season was cancelled. He had it fully turned around at that point and he keeps building on the momentum he created. oscar put our program in a garbage can and Groce came along and took a crap in that same can. Brad is out there winning regular season and conference tourney ships and getting a one seed. He's better than I thought he'd be, particularly recruiting.
The two second round losses don't mean anything at this point. He's got great company. Self, Wright, Donovan, Drew and Bennett all had multiple second (and first) round losses at the schools they won natties at. If he keeps stacking talented teams and getting high seeds, he'll make some runs. It's as inevitable as the early exits.
