Russia is still a threat to their next door neighbors, because of their willingness to sacrifice all their troops on suicide meat grinder attacks.  They lack the organizational capacity to attack much beyond their next door neighbors.

Russia isn't that great, but they have world class electronic warfare capabilities, hypersonics, and have the capability of overwhelming air defenses with drone swarms followed by cruise missiles.

So well beyond white Toyota's and IED's.
