He's not the threat electorally that people think he is. Plus in a crowded primary (of which there is bound to be 6+ people) they'll siphon off enough support that he'll lose to Trump (he's already winning H2H even in most of the polling so it may be mute for DeSantis). I refer to it like this, We have a patient with stage 4 cancer (the GOP who is actively trying to dismantle everything it can), and a broken ankle (the Democrats). Both can be problematic but only the Democrats aren't trying to kill the US by throwing an Insurrection, saying COVID was an election day Virus, or trying to cause a debt default. So which do you want to deal with, the ones who are Stage 4 and actively trying to detonate everything they touch, or a broken ankle which can hobble stuff but isn't going to kill you.

Plus Biden has done everything and more I could have dreamed of, PACT Act, Gun Reform, Infrastructure, CHIPs bill, 2 Reconciliation....even Galaxy brains like Newt Gingrich stated that Biden is eating the GOP's lunch on policy.

Edit - Before you comment but but BLM....yea when you have a Biden actively directing the crowd to kill his VP...you can say it's equal, or before you say the Police Department in Minnesota...here you go.

Elements of your party have caused collectively billions of dollars worth of damage all across these United States and if it weren't for the Secret Service (of which over 50 were injured) they would have broken through the fence at the White House. All because they were mad because again and again and again #blueanon politicians in multi-generational #blueanon strongholds have failed them. The saddest thing of all is that the upper middle class and above rich kids that run from city to city all raged up are repeatedly bailed out of jail for crimes . . . that there's little doubt that if some poor kid committed the same they'd trying to fight their way through the court system with the help of some overworked public defendant.

Multi-generational #blueanon stronghold cities are turned into shitholes while people like Gav Newsom roll up $170 billion tabs for a slow train to no where etc. etc. etc.

I mean imagine bragging about eating another party's lunch on legislation when your party has sadly controlled both houses of Congress. That's the participation ribbon to end all participation ribbons.

FR has some pretty easy comebacks available, but I don’t think he can afford to lose the cuck demographic, which is probably the single largest component of the MAGA base.

No, the winning formula is to point out that all of your voters are sad, whiny, loser victims and that only you are a strong enough man to hurt their oppressors. It also helps if you can find an ultra-religious weirdo as a running mate who they can fantasize will eff their wives, but not be upset about it.
