I went back and rewatched the whistle play. It was right as we caught the ball so I don't feel as bad for them. It would have been an interception regardless of the whistle

There had to be a slight sound delay. I didn't see the pic because my eye was drawn to the sound of the whistle and the ref waiving his hands. He blew the whistle either as the ball was leaving the QBs hand or just after.

It was on the field, but the pass was already in the air. It's horrible officiating no matter what they do at that point. Probably would have been correct to replay the down, but I would be livid if they took away the int.
