I have simmered chili for most of a day, had one bowl, then left it on the stove overnight many times. I’ve eaten it later sometimes and thrown it away some, but I’ve never gotten violently ill.

I've come home from work on two separate occasions in the last month to find that I left the bag of shredded cheese out after preparing my lunch. I still finished the bag. It's the cheap Great Value brand so maybe they don't use real milk in their cheese.

It's got sawdust in it to keep it from clumping.

I often won’t wash table grapes before eating. I’m probably RoundUp ready now.

Mom had frozen turkey/chicken stock in the freezer along with bourbon slush (wild turkey, pineapple juice, Sierra mist).  One Thanksgiving she grabbed the wrong one to make rhe gravy.

Everyone started eating and  mom said does anyone else think this gravy tastes funny?  Retrieved the container from the trash to discover it said "slush" on the side.

mix equal parts wild turkey, pineapple juice, and Sierra mist in a 1 gallon freezer bag. Put it in the freezer.

Blend and freeze the first 3 ingredients.  Put an ice cream scoop of slush in an old fashioned glass with a splash of sprite or 7 up or Sierra mist.  There are a bunch of variations on this, but is a staple of July 4th celebrations.at our house.

Put some chicken thighs out on the counter last night to start thawing and of course I forgot and left them out overnight.  About 10 hours total but they were wrapped tightly in Saran wrap the whole time.  If they pass the smell test I'm going to have them for dinner tonight.  Will report back 24 hours later.  Hopefully not sooner lol

bourbon slush turkey sounds like some kind of seasonal dish at a restaurant trying to be fancy
