Moderna and it was fun 4-5 days of chills/dizziness/nausea.  The 2nd dose in a couple weeks should be awesome.
:sdeek:
Damn HF!  Sorry to hear about your reaction.   I think Steve Dave is right.  You possibly already had the Rona.  Hope second shot goes better for you.  I'm a Moderna subject myself.  2nd shot is the 15th.

I had to drive 2.5 hrs each way today, but was able to schedule rd. 2 within a half hour drive. Easier to schedule a 2nd Pfizer shot right now than a first shot here.

Ignore the pit aspect, but those maps are pretty wtf

It probably should be reallocated pretty quickly but I don't know how anyone could have predicted the magnitude of discrepancy between rural and urban vaccine acceptance.

And you certainly couldn't have allocated based on the assumption that rural folks would have vaccinated at a much lower rate. (although now that I think about it, it might have made trumpers want it more)

Yeah, you have to allocate based on population. Can you imagine if lib governor Kelly allocated more vaccines per capita to KC/Lawrence/Topeka? She’d be killed for that

So I’d bet a majority of the 141,000 people working at federal agencies within DCs borders live in DC also. Not sure why that wouldn’t come out of the population allocation at least to some degree.

I doubt a majority but it could be. Don't know that it should ALL be based on population allocation.

These last few posts reminded me about the birther pit and I went there for the first time in a while and i'm pretty sure we shouldn't have a birther pit. It was terrifying.

It isn’t too expensive for the people working federal jobs! But it may be more than half, I dunno.

Moderna jab #1 for me on Friday.

I didn't feel a thing when I got my jab, kind of wondered if it missed or something.  But the sore spot at the injection site today tells me it didn't miss.

Otherwise, no side effects.

You drove 6 hours for the shot?

I was getting very frustrated with availability here so I scheduled mine in MHK.

Chicago to Peoria for Mrs 8mp, Chicago to East Moline (quad cities) for me. Could have waited and spent tons of time refreshing availability to hopefully get one closer at some point, but it might have taken weeks.  Second dose is easy to schedule for some reason, got it rescheduled about half an hour away for each of us.

Re shot #2, I think it just depends on the place. To my knowledge most dngaf. But I’ve heard some do.

Nice, gotcha. Yeah I couldn't find anything in KC and didn't want to spend time refreshing all day like you said. The soonest one I could find outside of basically get it whenever you want in MHK was in Topeka on Thursday. I'm tired of waiting so just said eff it and by the time I need my second one I'm hoping they have more supply here in KC.
