So far for me the winner is a bottle of worcestershire sauce that expired May 28 2016.

I'll check out the condiment section when I get home but I know there is like 6-8 untouched bud light pounders in there that I bought to give to my friend when he helped me move in around May '16

every time i open the fridge i do a sweep of the condiments to make sure nothing has escaped my eye.  every now and again i find something and escort it to the trash, feels great when it happens.

so probably the oldest condiment in my fridge is some capers from last spring, but they last a year or so and haven't gone bad yet (just smelled them a couple weeks ago to be sure)

Yeah.  I figured with all the sodium in that crap, no way bacteria could live in it.

I found some sour cream that expired 8/12/2020.  That was pretty gross.

My family seems to play an unspoken game of chicken about throwing out condiments.  "Oh, you thought you needed korean bbq sauce? Well, you can be the one to throw it out."  :don'tcare:

I go through worcestershire like crazy. We eat a lot of steak around here. Also, condiments are the bomb.com.

Another fun game is trying to figure out what the date actually means.  Sell by? Best if used by? Rotten by? Explosive diarrhea by?

How long will you guys use milk after the exp date? I usually stretch it by a day or two.

I have some Oct 2018 expired hot sauce.

My pharmacist SIL went through my parent's first aid/medical drawer last year and found Neosporin that expired in 1986.

You could maybe still huff the nitrous out of that reddi whip.  I would probably spit out any whip cream, tho.

There is a lot of stuff that doesn’t really go bad though it has an expiration date printed on it. Highly salty or acidic things especially but also some really sweet things (2-1 syrup, etc) are bad environments for mold and bacterial growth. Mrs. 8mp is constantly trying to throw out my old hot sauce or horseradish or sauerkraut.

Nah. Growing up my dad was a cattle buyer. I know all the steak takes. I literally had to tell girls to never ask for steak sauce when coming over to eat at my parents. I know all the steak do's and don'ts. It just doesn't hurt to put a little garlic salt and worchestershire on them tho, before popping them on the fire. Those are within the rules.  :nono:

Prob an Asian sauce that i don't use much. Could be homemade hot sauce which prob isn't the best idea. I grow jalapeños every year and make fermented hot sauce that usually last up until the next season. This year I have a full bottle I haven't started yet and I'm not sure about it at this point. Its prob fine, but I'll make less this year.

Damn.  Open up one of those pounders and all the skunks in the neighborhood will come running.
