add another vote to the espresso maker.  can't imagine living life without one.  also want to upgrade soon, but the one i have still works good so i'd feel very guilty.  be nice if it would break.

Ugh, I so want to nudge mine off of the counter onto the floor...

We have this kitchen gadget called "The Griddler." It is like an extra large George Foreman Grill with these interchangeable plates that can be used to make waffles, pancakes, panini sandwiches, quesadillas or grilled cheeses (which is 65% of my kids' diet).

I need this.

I was about to purchase this as my gift from my dad but I may switch to the Griddler.

with this

And this is at the bottom of the website.

I had a 12 cup cuisenart for like 10 years and it finally gave out. Was in Costco that same day for other crap and what do you know a 14 cup cuisenart for like $40. Boom roasted coffee bean juice.

to me to be a gadget it has to be popular now, but the next generation will laugh at it. you will pass it to your kids who will never use it. their kids will have never heard of it.

something that is useful now and will be useful to all in the future is really more a tool or appliance than gadget.

like the instant pot will probably get a sentence reference in ready player six

I use one with a reusable k cup. Love it. Sprinkle a little cinnamon in the grounds before brewing. Boom. No floaties in my cinnamon honey coffee.

my b-i-l gave me a small one as a present a few years ago. I haven't really messed with it much because I don't have a gas stove top to use it on and it looks like it might explode if it was set directly on an electric rangetop. They do look really cool.

Keurig is my least favorite form of coffee. I'm always worried that there are carcinogens leeching out of those little pods as they get scorching hot water injected into them. I know lots of people really enjoy them but it doesn't seem like "real" coffee.

It’s ideal for guests and people who just want 1 cup in the morning to hold them over, but bad for coffee snobs and those supporting a caffeine addiction, so just a pretty narrow target demographic.

I like my small Breville Air Fryer/Dehydrator/Oven/etc.  Since it's just my wife and I, it can mostly replace the oven.

i got a cuisinart IB a few years ago and can confirm it's wonderful. it takes a job that would take several minutes and turns it into just a few seconds. i pretty much only use it for soups, but i have used it to whisk eggs before scrambling (totally unnecessary). but it's easy to clean and doesn't take up much space
