It's an article and that's not what he said, Jesus Christ. He said that finding an OC isn't a priority right now. He has an interim that he wants to test out and signing day was yesterday for fucks sake, I would hope he would prioritize Jaren Kanak over meeting with whoever the hell is going to get the job.

Klieman has also strongly indicated that the players very much want Klein and he had to let mess go because he lost the players.

I'm guessing if Colin nails the bowl prep, connects with the players and recruits that he's going to get the job.

I mean sure, but I guess i'm of the opinion that an OC is pretty important and that since he just fired one for being bad, he should prob prioritize finding a new/better one. Also, him letting the current players hire Klein is worse than not looking for an OC at all right now in my opinion. Those are just my opinions though and I don't know anything.

It's also entirely possible that he has been looking for an offensive coordinator and just didn't want to talk about it with Kellis.

If he let mess go because he lost the locker room, getting the confidence of those players back is pretty important. I'd also say that in the era of the transfer portal, it's vital to make sure your players are happy with the direction of the program, particularly when you're talent starved and one of those players is a once in a generation all american.

I think it’s likely he has an idea who he wants to hire but most coaching changes will happen after the coaching convention happens in early January right after the bowl game. I think he’s giving Klien a legit chance at the job, should be a good trial run of what he’s got as an offensive play caller.
