The worst part of halloween candy is ... running out of halloween candy!! Make sure you stock up early, often, and prodigiously.

Worst part of halloween candy is when it's been sitting in a bag together too long and they start to taste like they're in a big ole melting pot.

One way to solve that problem is to STAY OUT OF YOUR KID's CANDY BAG.

Happy Halloween, cats! I’m looking forward to throwing back some glasses of wine at the Halloween happy hour I’ll be hitting after work today.

time to get fired up.  Banger of an office party yesterday.  Each hall had a theme.  Ours was the Barbie movie and I was Mojo Dojo Casa House Ken.  Drink was Brewskie Beers.  I sang Push at everyone.  Now working from a coffee shop before I go surprise 2 of the little stones with lunch.  Then halloween party and parade at the school.  Then swing by Papa Murphy's for large jackolantern pizza.  The solid trick or treating and brews.  Looks a bit chilly but no worries.

Mrs SSOC has several hundred pieces of candy on hand for the trick-or-treaters. We'll see if we can outlast them this year. Last year 250 pieces was not enough.

full size bars only at my house, always fun to see the four year olds smiling when they grab a candy bar that’s almost their size

We got over 1000 pieces and probably handed out 900 or so. Fun Dip was by far the most popular

I want to do this but I don't get trick or treaters.
We’d probably do it at our house but we’re too busy trick or treating! I like the idea for sure.
Did this tonight and about 75% of the kids took a potato(along with candy).  The younger ones would grab it and come running back to their parents shouting "I got a potato!"

Had a group of middle school girls all take a potato and then walk down the street making a tok tik video showing off their potatoes. 10/10 would recommend.

Do teens still run around with eggs, shaving cream, socks of flour, etc. in your neighborhoods like we used to do?
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

None of that in Brooklyn. Probably too crowded for those types of shenanigans. "Shavin' creamin'" was the biggest thing where I grew up seemed to be dying way back when I was a kid anyway

We had 350ish trick or treaters. First year we didn't run out of candy. Still have some delicious Twix bars left.

The worst part of Halloween candy is candy corn. Throw all of it in a dumpster fire.

The actual worst part is people complaining about candy corn.

I don't think so. kids today are much better behaved and parented than we were imo.

Check with your dentist. They may be doing a candy buy-back program.
