When did Wichita steal New Mexico's flag?

I never even knew they had one then one summer I visited and boom that flag is everywhere

1937, NM made theirs in 1925. The flag has been there forever, the difference is now it's fashionable to display it, to try and make Wichita more cool

They've had that logo and flag for a very long time, I don't think it looks like New Mexico's at all. They both have a Native American sun symbol, that's it.

Mexico is also pretty great, the eagle with a serpent on a cactus is a great nod to the Aztecs

Both flags are great and MiR GTFO with your "those flags are nothing alike" take. If you don't frequent either location and don't see them side by side that symbol basically makes them identical

Funny flag story involving your’s truly. When I was in second grade we had this parade of nations thing one year where a bunch of grade school kids got to draw/color up a big flag of whatever country. Prob 60 kids in total. It was part of one of the many local parades downtown.  I think we were all second graders. Well, nicname got Libya.

That’s cool. It’s pretty neat flag you might be thinking. Take a look...




Wrong! From 1977-2011 the flag of Libya was rough ridin' green. That’s it. Just a big green rectangle.




So there were all the other kids with their cool flags and there was Nicname with his green blob parading his ass down main street. I was not amused.
