Quote
Biden’s pick for national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, did not respond to a request for comment. But in a piece he co-wrote in Foreign Policy in May, Sullivan got to the heart of the Taiwan issue.

“The People’s Liberation Army has made no secret of the fact that it is building the military power-projection capabilities necessary to subjugate Taiwan,” the article noted, “a development that would upend the regional balance of power overnight and call the rest of America’s commitments in the Western Pacific into question.”

pretty long, but interesting

Thanks Memphis.

Also note the following:

-China is buying up all the surplus oil they can get their hands on and stockpiling at a record pace.   Taking advantage of the depressed oil price?  Or something else?

-Xi has been talking a lot to Putin.   Russia is becoming a pain on the North side of Japan in a chain of disputed Islands.   While Japan just purchased an island to the South where a large military base will be built in conjuction with the United States.   The U.S. Air Force cannot conduct training operations at the current bases in Japan, but on this island, they will be able to conduct training operations

-China military operations in the Taiwan strait are increasing in tempo and the Chinese Air Force now constantly tests the air defense systems of Taiwan, and actually flew into Taiwanese air space a few weeks back

Would you like to discuss why they are making those hires and what the long term implications are?

Resident simpletons beloved EU:   Just not giving a eff about China's track record

https://www.npr.org/2020/12/30/951400927/europe-and-china-approve-landmark-investment-treaty-snubbing-u-s

Super super concerned about human rights, global warming etc. etc. though.   They're going to talk about it some more, probably have a couple of conferences and maybe a round table.   It's almost like they forgot that direct trade and commerce with China at a very high level put SARS-Covid-19 inside their home early (and often) at a very deadly level.

In the end, the Chinese will fail to live up to their side of the agreement just like they always do.

Cue . . . but Trump!  From resident simpletons.

Back in the day I spent a lot of time hunting on Fort Riley.  I became very familiar with the training ranges.   I recall very specifically in the months leading up to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, the tank gunnery range on Fort Riley was almost never open for hunting, while in years prior it was almost always open, at least on weekends.   Once summer hit prior to the Iraqi invasion the amount of night time training was almost relentless on the TGR.

The intellectually disabled on this blog and source douches like Bucket will dismiss this.   But for those thinkers that we're all proud to have flying the colors of Kansas State University meaning you are:  1.  Extremely intelligent 2. Smell fantastic  3.  Extremely successful 4.  Worldly and aware.    I invite you to consider this article discussing the book, "Unrestricted War" by Colonel Qiao Liang and Colonel Wang Xiangsui of the Peoples Liberation Army-China (1999)

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/12/chinas_unrestricted_war_on_the_united_states.html

(Some thoughts are my own, which means you should read them)

Liang and Xiangsui discuss:

New Terror:  Actual or implied threat of a WMD attack.  Pandemics:  Like SARS-Covid-19 which originated in China.

Drug Warfare:  China is the worlds largest producer of arguably the most dangerous large scale illegal drug on the planet.   China is one of the largest or possibly now the largest launderer of drug cartel money

Smuggling Warfare:  Counterfeit goods creating doubt in the market place, over supply and viable product devaluation.  Which in turns drives corporate downturns, economic loss and unemployment.  Which in turn erodes tax base, increases central government socioeconomic spending which drives borrowing and national debt

Economic Aid Warfare (Western countries do the same thing):   Direct economic assistance with an understood favoritism towards China across a broad spectrum of economic and political fronts.   See also:  Belt and Road

Cultural Warfare:  Acceptance of divergent political viewpoints no matter how antithetical those viewpoints are to the core foundational beliefs of a nation state.   Destabilization and weakening of economic systems and society which in turns bolsters China's status in the world because China simply doesn't have those issues because the regime controls all.

Media Warfare:  Self explanatory.  China is institutionalized embedded in many systems of higher education in the United States and points beyond including K-Street, Wall Street and soon (and once again) the White House.

Congrats to China;

1.  Got their guy elected and have already infiltrated his staff- Easily

2.  Not defeated, but declared victory over the virus returned to BAU

3.  Continue to grab greater share of world GDP as the rest of the planet attempts to humanely grapple with the virus

4.  WHO arrives on scene for another worthless endeavor to find the origins of SARS-Covid-19, China will continue to cover-up and obfuscate the process.   Sadly our ProgFascist Leaders and their idiot minions including many on here don't care because the discovery of the true origins of the virus slightly lessons the virus as a partisan weapon and as a weapon of control . . . and the findings could be very embarrassing for their BFF, President Xi and the Chinese Communist Party
