Didn't know that was such a thing. What sport do you think has the least crazy parents? I can't decide.
Cross country parents seem very laid back. They clap for everyone and a lot of times the last runner gets as much applause as the first. You can't really complain about refs or playing time because it is hard to argue with the clock. Also, you can get up and move wherever you want on the course.

Concur, when I ran in middle school (lol so long ago) every event I went to it felt encouraging the entire time, only once do I remember seeing someone get on someone else but it was more like "Come on they're gaining on you, you can do it" kinda vibe.

Also feel like this translates well to adult running too, everyone encourages everyone on the course, probably the only thing you have practically everyone doing that.

Case in point:

Sounds like a plot outline for an adult movie.

Dude was banging moms all over the stadium. I wonder if it was strictly single moms or if any dads were like, "as long as Junior is QB1, do whatever it takes".

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Batcat Kyan Lodice played for our same youth baseball program and went to the HS my kids will go to eventually (god willing). lil sd got to smoke some balls with him today and is seeing him more over break. Pretty cool because he’s a massive KSU fan.

Kyan Lodice* SD put some respect on our boys name. Looks like he has beefed up. Listed as 210 in the media guide

My 7th grader has never played on a club basketball team but this year worked v hard on her school team. Last night she started for the first time on the A team which is both 7th and 8th! Was v cool! What's more awesome is she's going to join some club team so we can spend a billion dollars so she can develop her game for HS.

Made me think of a question: what sport would you pick for one of your kids to be magically gifted elite abilities (for use at the HS level). Not talking about what would or wouldn't be a good sport to have a kid do in college, just what sport would you enjoy the crap out of watching your kid dominate at the high school level. Pretty sure that I would go with basketball.

Lil SF plays on his school buddy basketball team still. There were like 2 other kids that were even remotely good at basketball and they moved on a couple of years ago so me and another Dad have kept the team together for fun the past couple of years. We are......not good, but it's something for them to do. We are in the pre season mode where they rank you for the upcoming season and somehow, we have kicked the absolute crap out of every team we have faced so far. Had to just be a scheduling quirk or something so now when the regular season starts, we are going to get put in the top league and just get destroyed all season. It's hilarious because all of the kids know this too and they talk about "how cooked" they are. It's going to be hilarious but there was nothing we could do about it. We will immediately get pressed by any decent team and get down huge because we have like one kid that can bring the ball up the court. I have no idea how there were teams that much worse than us or how we had to have played all of them.

Baseball and it isn't even close. I've never even seen a live wrestling competition, but it would probably be really fun watching your kid whip the crap out of every other kid though.

Probably soccer, which luckily is what it is. Cross country has also been enjoyable as a parent.

Basketball is another good one.

Wrestling or baseball would be my least favorite probably.

I'd say whatever sport piques their interest the most. The rest of you should take notice of my excellent parenting tip.

I know wrestling is a really hard sport that teaches valuable life lessons but basketball is the only sport that I enjoy watching enough to crammed into a gym with other people during flu season to watch.

One thing you have to say about wrestling, there is basically no room for excuses for your performance. Just you and another dude that is trying to put you on your back. Can't blame the coach for not playing you enough or teammates for not blocking or throwing you the ball. I suppose there is some room to complain about refs...
