The shitty jobs I worked for $5.50 per hour make me more supportive of a higher minimum wage, not less. I do support a lower minimum wage for those who are claimed as dependents, though. A $15 minimum wage might make it difficult for high schoolers to find work, otherwise.

I like this.  Same with the unemployment stimulus, should have been tied to you being a dependent or not.

wacky, what do you dislike about harris (not a trap, i'm just curious)?
She has a lot of socialism in her. She came off pretty pompous in the debates as well.

She is probably the least socialist person in the VP candidate pool. Who are you hoping for?
Yang or Tulsi  :gocho:

Tulsi is far more socialist than Harris.

A lot of the Democratic party has socialist ideas. I'm just voting against the evil man. There's definitely going to be some selling out going on through this process.

There was something she said during the debates that really pissed me off and then I forgot about it, because I was like "Well, she's not going to win, so who cares anymore". I'm embarrassed I can't remember what it was she said. I've tried to google it and there's like nothing on her. Minus the fact she called out Biden a bunch. I guess I would be fine with her. I'll live. She's not my first choice by any means.

This succession of posts is a good illustration of one of the ways both major political parties, and the big money/corporatist interests have hoodwinked the American people.

We’re being fleeced in broad daylight and can’t see it. We’ve too busy making enemies out of each other, politically, racially, religiously, to notice.

I’m a huge Tulsi guy btw, and feel you and I have very similar backgrounds. We can all have our ideals, and most of us have a similar end goal. We don’t need to consider it selling out to adjust our perception of the necessary means to get there.

They'll be a whole of lot of talk and fist pounding on tables, but the mega corps are gonna absolutely flourish, and the little guys are going to have a very tough time under ChiCom Joe if Joe actually follows through with his Bernie Bro doctrine.

It'll be a crushing regulatory and taxation environment.

Also, wacky, the minimum wage isn't socialism. A person getting paid $7.50 per hour and subsidized with food stamps is socialism.

Exactly, and most people don’t want to be taken care of. They want to the freedom and ability to be able take care of themselves.

It’s going to be interesting to see the reaction as automation and AI render most jobs obsolete over the next several decades.

Yeah, didn’t mean to relate it to socialism. Just a thing she backed that annoys me.
