Everyday Food
« on: June 25, 2020, 12:11:37 PM »
What are some foods you could (and do) eat everyday? I'm not talking about steak or lobster, I'm talking about your run-of-the-mill food that always is sustaining but you wouldn't call your favorite food necessarily.

For me? It's cottage cheese. Lately I've been going through a tub of it about every 2-3 days. Thankfully it's not terrible for you. I also eat the crap out of green beans and Blue Diamond wasabi & soy sauce almonds.

Protein bar and banana for breakfast. Coffee.

Protein shake after a workout.

Tortilla roll-up with ham, turkey, and cheese for lunch.

Life hack salad for dinner.

Various fruit for snacks.

Rinse and repeat unless I want to grill something or go out for dinner.

Pasta (parmesan cheese added after only) is the base

Some meat (usually chicken) is added, but whatever I feel like grilling (brats, dogs, steak, or burger)

Organic girl mixed greens or spinach with some ranch sprinkled over for my salad.

that's like 90% of my dinners/lunches

breakfast is either a pack of brown sugar pop tarts which is something I've done since ksu cats days, or the brown sugar oatmeal bars nature valley makes, with at least 1 cup of coffee with cream, but as many as 3 over the course of morning.

throw in some berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries) as a mid morning snack and you got basically what I got with.

I'll get a bag of jack links beef jerky too, but it's usually gone after a day or two

I bake 3-4 chicken breasts then eat 1-2 a day. Sometimes with spinach, sometimes with pasta, sometimes on a pizza, sometimes just chicken with a spread of some kind, and sometimes with rice and/or beans. Rinse, repeat.

I also get fuckin DOWN on rotisserie chicken. Eat the the good parts, then shred the boring parts and use them in lieu of baked chicken.

with the skin or are you an amazing cook? i tried eating basic chicken breast more often and each meal was a struggle.

boneless chicken legs though, i could eat like a few chicken's worth in a day if i wanted to. load those suckers up with oyster sauce and msg.
