LABCO, Bourbon & Baker, Wine Dive - all three have burgers and fries in some capacity. Tallgrass TapHouse if you really have to appease the kids.

Great, thanks. Its pretty great that these are still great options. Rockabelly and So Long have always been my fav spots and its great that they are still kicking after all these years. I was just looking for something new and had heard there were some places in old downtown that may be worth hitting, but it seems like the old faithful are my best bet, which i'm perfectly fine with. I may try Tallgrass for giggles, but we will see. Does Manhattan Brewery have any decent to go beers? I was looking at their site and my stop by and grab something if I have time.

It's a very family friendly place. Beer is ok. Food is good but a little basic.

MBC has good beer and will put anything in a crowler to go. They don't have as many options at the moment due to some construction but still plenty to wet your whistle.

I simultaneously like hillside and would also never recommend it. Their potato tacos are the best though. The best!!! Kk has obviously never had one.

haha, funny you mention this, my go to order at JITB is a Jumbo Jack and two regular tacos, but that's the definition of trashcanning, I wouldn't try to convince anyone that this is good.

Kate’s in dodge city (circa 2004-ish) and buckley’s in seattle are places I recommend (the former only if you have to be in dc, the latter purely sports event-related) that serve burgers and tacos.

While I think this is true, are most usually known for their burgers? Hillside has regulars that swear by their burgers. Burgers are like half the menu now and the other half is Mexican (a very bastardized version).

Doesn't count like at all. The only ones I've seen with burgers are like two or three with kids menus, for the little gringlets that go in to them

Thanks for all the tips friends. RAB and So Long were great as usual. Hit them both twice actually. Lucha was too busy every time we tried. We also really enjoyed Tall Grass. Mrs SF threw me a curveball and made us go ziplining right when we pulled in to town. I sort of knew she would do it when she saw the billboard on the way in. The kids really enjoyed it and I was just hoping not to die. The weather got pretty crappy right after so I was glad we got it in. The Bluemont hotel was fine. I forgot about the new Courtyard right across the street so i was bummed we didn't stay there for free. Goolsbys was ok. Their shitty tiny bowling was a bit pricy and I didn't do the stupid wall beer tap thingy. I don't hate the idea, but using a card to load another card to use is just stupid and annoying so I passed. We went to the trampoline park and walked right the eff back out when we hit the door and there were 17,000 kids in there punching each other. The Cat baseball game was great. The baseball and soccer upgrades are pretty sweet. Crazy how much Manhattan has grown/improved since we were in college. Great time.
