So I always knew of BookiePimp being a poster on this blog, but honestly I can’t think of anything noteworthy about him until this thread. I guess in years past he just always struck me as someone who was a low-to-moderate level poster who was mostly there to bolster our numbers. Never made a huge impression on me other than that his avatar made me think he might also be a UNLV fan or something. Consequently, I never paid too much attention to him, so I’ll need the help of the board’s historians on this one:

Has he always been this cuckoo? Or did his conspiracy theory craziness happen recently as a result of some low-level brain damage or something? Or, is he trolling me?

Well first off, understand that Mega-Intelligence State President Barry Obama signed an executive order at the end of his presidency that not only allowed unmasking to be done more easily, he also made it easier to spread the information all over. Essentially a poison pill for the person involved.

Unmasking is when a U.S. citizen is involved in gov't eavesdropping. In normal times (like before Barry Obama putting the surveillance state on the steroid drip), the U.S. citizens name would be masked on reports.

Unmasking is revealing the name on these reports . . . that Obama made sure got distributed far and wide (pro-tip, the more people that see it means the higher the probability that a foreign intelligence agency see's it as well, kind of like not having a firewall on an illegal email server).
