not great.

Yes, this is scary

This is a long read but it provides a much deeper look at the polling from the NBC article that sys posted.

If you want to stop partisan hatred then ProgFascists would be wise to stop putting guys like Norm Eisen to work everytime you lose an election.

kind of old, did make me wonder about wage raises and stimulus/loans. Is a slow phase in "better" or should there be slower paths for different local economies (I guess I was thinking nationally, dunno if even inside of a state that would make sense)?

https://www.kpcw.org/post/florida-just-passed-15-minimum-wage-time-right-big-nationwide-hike#stream/0

Along the same lines, wonder if there is data/assumptions towards the poverty reduction attached to the policy cutouts (local exceptions, small business exception ect.). Kind of morphs into force state gov't to make policy on wage increases which is the direction of what people want but harder to communicate.

Take on this is Dems had already kind of hit the limits on minority polarization and Trump actually turned off a lot of white voters but electoral college (attracted white voters in high leverage areas)?

mechanically, it's two things:  1) the share of non-white voters that are black is decreasing, so the share of non-white voters that votes republican goes up (but shor says from 2012 to 2020, this effect is very small), and 2) in 2020 the electorate repolarized a little more on education and a little less on race/ethnicity.

leaving aside the why, that's basically the how.  no college non-white voters voted for republicans a bit more and college white voters voted for them a bit less.

finally transitioned from print and audio to video.  i found smith's interview style a little offputting, but otherwise a solid addition to the shor compendium.

What's a negative probability for moving from quintile 1 to quintile 5 mean? I kind of wished they added the probabilities they used to access accuracy to the tweet.
